Cathy Little
Over the past 17 years, I have the privilege of traveling extensively within the Vineyard Worship movement. I have had the opportunity to sit under the teaching and influence of many of the grandfathers and grandmothers of the Vineyard worship music as well as those who are newer on the scene carrying the vision and values of worship into the future.
I served as a member of the Vineyard Southeast Regional Worship task Force from 2006-2008 and facilitated the connection of worship leaders with each other, as well as with resources, practical training and equipping through various training events and conferences. I have also ad the opportunity and privilege to lead worship and to teach both within my local church, as well as at various events around the country.
During a season of extreme brokenness and loss during the summer of 2008, God strategically moved me to a new church home where I was given the opportunity to allow God’s healing and restoration to consume my life. God brought me back to a place of effective ministry and has given me an even greater favor in worship leading and development. I currently oversee worship for my church’s healing prayer ministry and am mentoring and training lead worshipers within our cell group arena.
I am also the founder of “Simply-Worship, Inc.” (www.simply-worship.org), a ministry devoted to developing a culture of worship that reaches beyond performance, skills, sound and hype into the depth, riches and heart of true worship; worship which stems from, and is an overflow of personal intimacy, authenticity and integrity before the Lord. My passion is to see the church consumed with the message of John 4:23 “It’s who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship.” (The Message)
I have been a musician and singer-songwriter for most of my life and have had the privilege of leading others into the presence of God through musical expressions of worship for over 20 years. I grew up in a small town in northwestern Pennsylvania on the South Shores of Lake Erie and am the youngest of 6 children. I also carry a B.A. in Organizational Communications and Professional Writing from Cedarville University in Cedarville, OH. I moved to the Atlanta area in 1993 and attend RiverStone Church in Kennesaw, GA.
