Bb ~ I need You – Kristian Stanfill

Overview

This is a nice four song set that we’ll do this weekend.  Normally we do a 5 song set but we had to make some room for a video spotlight highlighting one of the ministries at our church.  As you can see we have three songs in a row that are all in the key of B, and all three of these are upbeat, praise style, high energy, fun songs.  We change gears going from song 3 into 4 by going into a Bb key change.  This key change works real well by going from the major key of  B to the Bb. As soon as we wrap up Glory to God and the congregation gets quiet, our keyboard player immediately plays a real smooth pad sound in the key of Bb which changes the mood of the room and sets up a great time to talk about our need for Jesus and to pray with the congregation about that need.  We’ll share John 14:6, talk a little bit about what that verse means, pray with the congregation and then go into I need You in Bb.

Total set is about 19 minutes long.

Would love to hear your songs sets for this weekend and any tips you might have about the songs you are leading.  Or if you have any thoughts about the set list I just described, please leave a comment below in the comment box, thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

God has blessed me with over 25 years of worship leading experience. When I'm not leading worship, I enjoy hanging with my wife of 23 years and my two children ages 12 and 9. I also enjoy riding my custom Honda Magna motorcycle in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, wakeboarding, boating, camping, and pretty much anything to do with being outdoors, especially on the water. I'm an avid sports fan, and I help coach my son's little league baseball team.  Learn more about me
